Do blondes have more fun?
Or do the brunettes get the bonuses? Some people are resorting to a change in hair colour to become more employable, claiming that their blonde tresses mean that they are taken less seriously. Perhaps I should be thinking of making the big change? Jamie and I did the switcheroo today. I quite like the blonde on him, it’s very striking. Not quite sure about the curly brown on myself. What do you think?

The Skype's the limit
(0 comments)
I simply marvel at all the new technology these days. Some of it can be a bit of a pain, but some can make our lives so much easier. For the first time ever on Mornings we used Skype for our live cross to Michael McCrae. And I have to say I think it turned out marvellously. The visual and audio quality was not bad at all. It seems everyone is skyping away these days. When you have loved ones, friends, family overseas it can be so handy. Especially when it’s free and so easy to use. I might be skyping myself soon!

Fabulous Frocks and funky favourites
(0 comments)
Who could say no to a little Wayne Cooper and Genevieve Smart in the mornings? Especially when they come armed with a stash of dresses, vests and accessories to die for. Asymmetrical dresses are very much the in thing with both Genevieve and Mr. Cooper obvious fans of the new style. Some of the designs were so ingenious I had to interrupt our little fashion parade to get a closer look. The little leather leggings were very cool, with the suede on top of more breathable material. Simply inspired! And the black dress with its detachable ‘bat wings’ as I affectionately called them was very chic. A fabulous start to the morning!

Catch you in the mornings,

Furry Fun

Those dogs this morning just did not want to sit still did they! Playing, barking, piddling you name it they did it, but they looked like they were having a marvellous time which is what we like to see. The studio was transformed into a raging doggy day care centre to show us how to turn our mutts into marvels.

Being a dog fanatic it saddens me to hear how often dogs are euthanized every year for behavioural problems. But dog whisper Chrissie McIntyre and Dr. Michael Archinal say that you can avoid the unthinkable. They joined us on stage today along with their four legged friends to show us how. Choosing the right breed of dog for you, maintaining eye contact during commands and using leads whenever possible can assist in maintaining your wayward pooch. Now if we could only stop them piddling in the studio!

Catch you tomorrow,
Kerri-Anne

Barbies Birthday Bash
(0 comments)
It was a delight to host a birthday celebration for another famous blonde this morning. The most famous blonde of all in fact, Miss Barbara Millicent Roberts. Or Barbie as she is better known. The lady of one thousand occupations turned the big 5-0 today and yet just like yours truly has barely aged a day! And what a full life she has lead. She’s had over forty pets, multiple vehicles and more fabulous image revamps than Madonna herself. But I must say I just love her new hair color. The peroxide blonde looked good, but the gorgeous honey color is simply divine. Fortunately Ken and Barbie have reconnected after their devastating breakup in 2004 to celebrate this amazing milestone

So here’s to Barbie, your second favorite blonde!
