Andre’s audience
Tuesday 12 May 2009 12:30pm

Weren’t they just in the palm of Mr Andre Rieu’s hand? Some of Sydney’s biggest Andre fans arrived at bright and early outside the Channel Nine gates yesterday morning with DVD’s and signature books in tow. And Mr. Rieu did not disappoint! It’s always great fun having one the Netherlands most famous exports on the show. And of course one of our own famous exports also joined us on stage. Mirusia Louwerse’s beautiful voice has taken her from Brisbane to the international stage with Andre’s orchestra. It is a pleasure to have her back home with us. She even somehow convinced Andre to try a little vegemite. I don’t think he was particularly impressed but one things for certain our audience we’re happy little vegemite’s yesterday!

Napoleon works his magic
Tuesday 12 May 2009 12:30pm

With four daughters (including triplets!) and a multimillion dollar Beauty Empire it seems Napoleon’s lot in life was to be surrounded by beautiful women. He did two looks for us today- the goddess and surrealism. And it’s all about eyelashes these days. Au natural is out, the bigger the better! Surrealism isn’t exactly a look that you could wear around the office but it would be ultra glam for a red carpet event. I think I could have pulled it off at the Logies!

Protecting your pooches
Thursday 7 May 2009 12:30

Dogs are creatures close to many of our hearts, so it’s important to make sure heartworm doesn’t get any where near theirs. When disaster hits your pets are probably the further thing from your mind. However natural disasters like the recent Victorian bushfires and the Queensland floods can be the catalysts for the spread of disease amongst your furry friend. So make sure you book your pets into your nearest vet clinic for a check-up and some preventative treatment. I know my dog Harvey is due for a visit!

Lots of laughs at the Logies
Tuesday 5 May 2009 12:30pm

Do you like my pixie cut? I think it's quite becoming actually. The Channel Nine crew had an absolute ball at this years Logies. There were plenty of laughs and even more glasses of champers to be had. Here are some of my happy snaps. I will post some more during the week.
Enjoy!

Bo does the didgeridoo
Tuesday 5 May 2009 12:30pm

Sunday night was all about celebrating our TV favourites, and today on the show we had two more. Bo Brady and Hope Williams from Days of our Lives are considered one of TV’s super couples. Their on again off again relationship has survived Hope’s apparent death, a fake pregnancy, another woman, several marriages and today… a didgeridoo playing? He told us he could play anything so this morning we put actor Peter Reckell’s musical ability to the test. And I must say he wasn’t too bad at Australia’s signature instrument- certainly the best amateur player we’ve ever had on the show. Good looking and musical, Mr. Bo Brady you can serenade me any day!
Old wives tales
Tuesday 5 May 2009 12:30pm
The shape of the belly, the position of the foetus, the wedding ring on a string theory, do any of these ‘old wives tales’ really help in predicting the sex of a baby? One of our pregnancy panel members Dr. Christine Bennett had her very own theory today. According to her it’s a boy if you can’t tell a woman is pregnant from the back. We put this to the test this morning with one of our producers Sonia. And apparently she’s expecting a boy! We’ll see in a couple of weeks if Dr Bennett’s theory is right, but lets face it 50/50 odds aren’t bad.
We’ll be talking about pregnancy all week this week, so make sure you don’t miss it!

Fashion finds
Wednesday 29 April 2009 1:00pm

We love promoting new talent on the show. It’s so important that gifted youngsters are showcased. Some of our hottest up and coming designers joined us this morning to unveil their gorgeous creations and we have some serious talent on our hands. I love that the 20’s are back in with that little bit of fringing and embellishment. Everyone know I love a little bit of embellishment!
The story of a girl
Wednesday 29 April 2009 1:00pm

Wasn’t little Kiki absolutely gorgeous on the show today? What a talker! She is such a little star and her foster parents Malcolm and Loretta Cuda obviously agree, after struggling for nearly four years to adopt their daughter and bring her to Australia. They’ve suffered through the loss of their business, their home and endured extensive periods of separation and now it seems as though government red tape could send little Kiki back to Bali. I find this absolutely unbelievable. They are obviously such devoted and caring parents who have put their lives on the line for this little girl. We are hopefully going to be investigating this a little further tomorrow for the Cuda family because this is simply heartbreaking.
Don’t miss it,
Kerri-Anne
Wayne’s world
Tuesday 29 April 2009 12:30pm
Fashion week kicked off last night with all eyes on Wayne Cooper. And he did not disappoint. It was modern, chic, with sequins in all the right places. Dresses are very popular again, particularly in stretchy jersey fabrics which will be great for the office. Took a few happy snaps, so enjoy!

Kiddies Corner
Tuesday 29 April 2009 12:30pm

It was toys aplenty today as we had some little darlings on the show. Accompanying them were their Mums who each had their children at different stages of their lives. We had an eighteen year old mummy through to a 45 year old mother weighing up the pros and cons of early and late motherhood. Is there are right time to have your first child? Medically our clocks start ticking once we past the thirty mark but financially most would be better prepared after the big 3-0. It’s a tricky one. But the mothers today seemed to feel quite confident with the way things have worked out for them, I guess mother knows best.

Everybody loves a winner
Thursday 23 April 2009 12:30pm

It’s personally my favourite annual competition- the Cleo Bachelor of the Year. And I don’t think I’m alone. The boys had many of our female crew members smiling from ear to ear this morning. The very debonair Mr. Axel Whitehead took out this years gong, beating out fellow bachelors Tom Bunting and Danny Clayton. What really surprised me was that ten of the fifty contenders didn’t turn up to the awards. Talk about bad sports! Very ungentlemanly.
Catch you tomorrow,

Happy Birthday Jamie
Tuesday 21 April 2009 12:30pm

My favourite co-host turned the big 4-0 this week and we had a big old party in the studio. Cast and crew all tucked into some cake, which I must say looked fantastic. I baked it myself! Jamie is such a wonderful colleague and friend and after watching the best of Jamie montage today I think I can safely say that Mornings would not be the same without him. Here’s to Jamie!
Talking about my generation
Tuesday 21 April 2009 12:30pm
Music always inspires great passion and great debate. It seems every generation thinks that their music was the best written, well sung and most timeless. But today we put the generations to the test in our ‘name that tune’ quiz. Poor Bianca Dye! Years as a radio host have not served her well barely scoring a point. In her defence though there were some toughies this morning. But dark horse golden oldie Johnno Coleman took out the crown, even getting the N’sync question right. Very impressive, Mr. Coleman you are the King.

Snuggled up
Tuesday 21 April 2009 12:30pm
Jamie and I had great fun trying on the Snuggie this morning, much to the amusement of the crew. We were all in absolute hysterics, but I actually think it’s quite fetching! What do you think?

A very sorry Geoff
Friday 17 April 2009 3:30pm

I hope Geoff does not experience the wrath of Kyle after implying that a certain someone was a little too big for his boots on Morning’s today. Immediately realising the error of his ways poor Geoff begged for King Kyle’s mercy. He was even kind enough to dedicate the trophy won during today’s trivia quiz to Kyle. Let’s hope all is forgiven and forgotten, but somehow I don’t think we’ve heard the end of this.

Fast talking
Wednesday 15 April 2009 12:30pm
Well I’m exhausted! A ten minute segment with the world’s fastest talker Fran Capo has left me just about ready for bed. I thought it would be all over in about two minutes but this New Yorker just didn’t want to stop. But she kept us thoroughly entertained with her anecdotes about life and her fast paced experiences.

Ladies and gentlemen presenting Guys and Dolls
Thursday 9 April 2009 12:30pm
I’ve seen this play so many times and I still can’t get enough. We had the lovely Lisa McCune and the rest of the crew perform one of the classics from the hit musical which has already had a quarter of a million people tapping their feet. Meanwhile the shows star Ian Stenlake has been nervously biting his nails with the imminent birth of his child. It must be hard going on stage every night knowing you wife is inches away from labour. It was terrific fun this morning, I even tried my hand at doing a bit of a dance myself. The results are below.
We have a fantastic hand puppeteer on tomorrow doing the most weird and wonderful things, so be sure to tune in.

All things feathered and beautiful
Thursday 9 April 2009 12:30pm

I think master milliner Neil Grigg said it best today when he commented that subtlety is not my style. So you can imagine my excitement when all these glorious creations came into the studio. Say goodbye to the simple fascinator because it seems the bigger the better this year and I’m loving it. From feathers to statement hats, I cannot wait to go to the races this year.

All that jazz
Tuesday 7 April 2009 12:30pm

We had Caroline O’ Connor on the show ten years ago, and honestly she has not aged a day. It is truly incredible. I don’t know what her secret is but I wish she’d share it. Ms O’Connor has yet again stepped into Velma Kelly’s shoes for the new version of Chicago. And the girls still got the moves, performing a wonderful musical medley. All I can say is I’d better see some wrinkles in another ten years.

Tuesday 7 April 2009 3:30pm

Medium Magic on April Fool's Day
Wednesday April 1 2009 3:00pm
When we said we were going to have psychic Lisa Williams on the show, we had an enormous response. She’s already captivated millions around the world and today she captivated our very enthusiastic live audience. Lisa William’s experiences are extraordinary, even being contacted by the late Princess Diana. But it was what she did on stage today that really surprised me. During a commercial break she picked out a random woman in the audience and identified a piece of jewellery once owned by her grandmother. And no it was not an April Fool’s joke!

Guy’s a girl’s best friend
Tuesday 31 March 2009 12:30pm
It’s so exciting to see one of our most successful Idol alums is hitting the big time over in the states. Guy Sebastian is home from recording his fifth album, his first in the US, and this morning you couldn’t wipe that trade mark grin off his face. His recent wedding to his girlfriend of seven years Julie Egan might also have something to do with it. As always Guy was real treat and remains one to look out for.
Tune in Wednesday for psychic Lisa Williams. She normally communicates with the dead, but tomorrow she’ll be answering questions from our live audience. You won’t want to miss it.

Creepy Crawlies
Tuesday 31 March 2009 12:30pm
We all have creepy crawlies in our back yards. In fact I took some happy (or not so happy) snaps of some golden orbs on my garage. But let’s hope we don’t have some of the creatures we saw today on the show. I got up close and personal with some of Australia’s deadliest creepy crawlies today. Brown Snakes, Death Adders and Funnel Webb’s oh my! I think we’ve all heard the story of the man who put on his good old wellington boots only to find an eight legged beauty lurking within. If you are bitten it’s important to seek immediate medical attention and bind the wound tightly. See below for a demonstration from yours truly.

The weird and the wonderful
Thursday 26 March 2009 12:30pm
We all know someone who has had a supernatural moment whether it is an aunt, a friend, a colleague. It really does intrigue me and I’m not the only one. A recent poll revealed that nearly half the population believes in ghosts. So today we were joined by Spirit Sisters author Karina Machado and seers Angela Wood and Leonie Evans who shared some incredible stories about being contacted by deceased loved ones. Their stories encouraged some of the other crew members on Mornings to divulge their personal experiences. This included music guru Cathy McCabe who talked about seeing her father during a very low point in her life and resident vet Dr. Ark also sharing an incredible story about his father. I personally cannot say that I’ve had any such moments but its still amazing listening to all these weird and wonderful things.

Happy Fiftieth Birthday Channel Nine!
Tuesday 24 March 2008 1:30pm
A merry time was had by all over the weekend at Channel Nine's big birthday bash. The networks golden anniversary brought the stars and the the champers to Queensland. Friday night saw us clink our glasses at Movie World, whilst Saturday had us partying until Sunrise at Jupiters Casino. Thought I'd share a few snapshots.

Dudes and their dacks
Tuesday 24 March 2008 12:30pm
It’s not just women who spend hours choosing their underwear these days. Men have certainly come a long way since the loin cloth! And according to our experts Stephen Ristefshyl, Vincent Macheda and Joh Bailey the right band just above the jeans can make or break an outfit. And the range is certainly extraordinary. From the Global Brief to the Bling Brief which contains just a hint of gold, who knew men’s underwear, could make such a statement? This all kind of amazes me. I think it must all come down to the generational gap that we were discussing on the show today. I come from the days where underwear was bought by a man’s wife, mother, girlfriend with the good old six packs being the favourite. I’m not sure how my husband would react if I brought home a pair of dare briefs, but maybe I should surprise him?
Catch you tomorrow for live performance from the Black Sorrows. Until then, enjoy the view.

The Skype’s the limit
Wednesday 18 March 2009 12:30pm

I simply marvel at all the new technology these days. Some of it can be a bit of a pain, but some can make our lives so much easier. For the first time ever on Mornings we used Skype for our live cross to Michael McCrae. And I have to say I think it turned out marvellously. The visual and audio quality was not bad at all. It seems everyone is skyping away these days. When you have loved ones, friends, family overseas it can be so handy. Especially when it’s free and so easy to use. I might be skyping myself soon!

Do blondes have more fun?
Wednesday 18 March 2009 12:30pm
Or do the brunettes get the bonuses? Some people are resorting to a change in hair colour to become more employable, claiming that their blonde tresses mean that they are taken less seriously. Perhaps I should be thinking of making the big change? Jamie and I did the switcheroo today. I quite like the blonde on him, it’s very striking. Not quite sure about the curly brown on myself. What do you think?
Fabulous frocks and funky favourites
Wednesday 18 March 2009 12:30pm

Who could say no to a little Wayne Cooper and Genevieve Smart in the mornings? Especially when they come armed with a stash of dresses, vests and accessories to die for. Asymmetrical dresses are very much the in thing with both Genevieve and Mr. Cooper obvious fans of the new style. Some of the designs were so ingenious I had to interrupt our little fashion parade to get a closer look. The little leather leggings were very cool, with the suede on top of more breathable material. Simply inspired! And the black dress with its detachable ‘bat wings’ as I affectionately called them was very chic. A fabulous start to the morning!

Furry fun
Thursday 12 March 2009 12:30pm
Those dogs this morning just did not want to sit still did they! Playing, barking, piddling you name it they did it, but they looked like they were having a marvellous time which is what we like to see. The studio was transformed into a raging doggy day care centre to show us how to turn our mutts into marvels.
Being a dog fanatic it saddens me to hear how often dogs are euthanized every year for behavioural problems. But dog whisper Chrissie McIntyre and Dr. Michael Archinal say that you can avoid the unthinkable. They joined us on stage today along with their four legged friends to show us how. Choosing the right breed of dog for you, maintaining eye contact during commands and using leads whenever possible can assist in maintaining your wayward pooch. Now if we could only stop them piddling in the studio!
Catch you tomorrow,

Barbie’s birthday bash
Monday 9 March 2009 12:30pm
It was a delight to host a birthday celebration for another famous blonde this morning. The most famous blonde of all in fact, Miss Barbara Millicent Roberts. Or Barbie as she is better known. The lady of one thousand occupations turned the big 5-0 today and yet just like yours truly has barely aged a day! And what a full life she has lead. She’s had over forty pets, multiple vehicles and more fabulous image revamps than Madonna herself. But I must say I just love her new hair color. The peroxide blonde looked good, but the gorgeous honey color is simply divine. Fortunately Ken and Barbie have reconnected after their devastating breakup in 2004 to celebrate this amazing milestone
So here’s to Barbie, your second favorite blonde!

Plays the way
Monday 9 March 2009 12:30pm
It seems that there’s so much pressure on kids today. To be stars in the classroom, on the soccer pitch, in the choir, and that’s just on a quiet day. But it’s important to remember that play is just as beneficial for their development. Our resident psychologist Ian Wallace says that there are six different types of play: discovery, imaginative, manipulative, creative, active and social which fosters intellectual, social and emotional development. Play teaches children essential life skills such as sharing, focus as well as hand, eye, brain coordination. That’s knowledge which can’t be gained from an exercise book!

Two’s company, but 50’s a crowd!
Thursday 5 November 2009 1:00pm

I love it when we have a live audience. Our camera crew isn’t as keen for logistical reasons, but I always think its so much fun to have fans on the show. We brought in a live crowd for Guru Eckhart Tolle’s insightful segment. Oprah is a huge fan of his and quite obviously we had a few others in our studio audience. From how to handle physical ailments to moving on from the past, Eckhart stressed the importance of always remaining in the present.
A big thank you to all our audience members today. We had such a response that we unfortunately had to turn away some people. But thankyou all for your wonderful support, we really appreciate it.
Catch you in the Mornings,
Kerri-Anne

Nothing like a cocktail to start the day
Thursday 5 November 2009 1:00pm
They say you should never drink before noon, but when you have four of Australia’s best (and best looking) bartenders on the show its hard not to! Cosmopolitan’s Bartenders of the Year joined us to make up their own delicious creations for the crew on the show today. From fruity fantasies to creamy cocktails it was certainly hard to pick a winner. I gave my Kerri-Anne gong to Lee Potter’s yummy drink. I always love something with a bit of tang!

Tweeds, plaids and frocks oh my!
Wednesday 4 March 2009 12:30pm
I just love Chanel; it’s the kind of classic style that never seems to stray much from the catwalks or the streets. Unfortunately for most the Chanel lip gloss range is just about all the budget will allow right now. But it never hurts to look (and dream). Our Chanel fashion show this morning had this fashionista swooning in the studio. From the signature little black dress to tweeds and plaids I felt like buying the entire collection in both black and grey! Check out the gorgeous photos below for more.

It’s always wonderful seeing Aussies doing well overseas, and not only is Chef Curtis Stone doing well, but he’s knocking back Donald Trump on a regular basis. Fresh from another Oprah appearance last week, it seems the sky (or the cook top) is the limit for Curtis. This laid back former Melbournian has quite the resume. He’s been the host of numerous television programs including the UK’s ‘My Restaurant Rules’ and now his own show the ‘Take Home Chef.’ I am a big fan of Oprah and it was lovely to hear how laid back the great Ms. O is, despite her ten person entourage! I need an entourage!

It's the Kerri-Anne and Libby Trickett show! Our golden girl tries her hand at presenting.

Lenton or Trickett, Libby is still a winner
Monday 2 March 2009 1:00pm
.jpg)
We watched her with baited breath as she ploughed her way to victory at the Beijing Olympics, and today Libby Trickett, nee Lenton, assured us that we will be doing the same at the 2012 London games. She’s been training up a storm, barely making it on the show this morning. And boy does it show those certainly are no chicken wings; this girl has got some muscles! As does her lovely husband of two years Luke Trickett. We got to see some fun happy snaps of the swimming stars during their post Olympics trip to America.
Eventually though it will be off with the goggles and in with the microphone. Libby is currently studying a Bachelor of Communications and hopes to pursue a career in television journalism. And with her gorgeous smile I think I’d better watch out! Especially given her performance today. I passed over the golden mic to our golden girl for a few minutes this morning to commentate on a recent one day cricket match. If only there were gold medals for presenting (although gold Logie is certainly an attractive prospect).
A big thankyou to Libby and all our guests this morning. Coming up this week we’ve got a Chanel fashion parade and Guru Eckhart Tolle with live audience on Thursday.
Catch you in the mornings,

Facebook=faceless?
Friday 27 February 2009 12:30pm

It seems like nearly everyone has a profile page these days. Facebook, Myspace, Bebo. In fact I was told this morning if Myspace were a nation it would be the 11th largest country in the world with 125 million citizens! But has it gone too far? Is this a utopia of communication or a nightmare?
It was a fascinating discussion with the boys of No Junk Male on Mornings today and one which everyone seems to have an opinion on. What concerns me the most is that people are replacing interpersonal communication with technology. It’s a bit of a worry when you can poke people (or throw a sheep at them), send them a drink, speed date and even define your relationship on a profile page. It’s not unheard to find out you have a boyfriend or that you’re suddenly single without leaving your computer chair.
Maybe I’m a different generation but I find all this to be completely baffling. For goodness sake pick up a phone, or else join ‘Kerri-Anne for the Gold Logie’ on facebook!
Makeover Magic
Friday 27 February 2009 12:30pm
We’re so happy to help out our country cousins who are still doing it tough out in rural NSW. It’s been a pleasure having some of the gorgeous gals from the Country Women’s Association join us in the makeup chair for our mornings makeovers. And by the sounds of it, this makeover could not have come sooner for Patricia Carlson and Tertia Butcher. The lovely ladies confessed that their last clothes shopping venture was over a decade ago! That certainly surprised this self confessed bargain hunter.
But the wait was well worth it as the ladies looked stunning. Mr. Joh Bailey and celebrity stylist Tertia Butcher worked their makeover magic. Patricia’s greying locks were given refined lowlights. And in her much beloved new David Lawrence Trench she looked a million dollars. I just loved that beautiful purple on Tertia. The Jigsaw dress really brought out her eyes as well as her ‘bedroom hair.’
Thanks to the good people at David Lawrence and Jigsaw for the complimentary pieces. Also a big thankyou to Woolworths for their amazing effort and continuous support of farmers and their families. They have certainly been doing a wonderful job.
Catch you on Monday, where we will be joined by the Beijing Champion Libby Trickett.
You won’t want to miss it!

Our boy Hugh is the jack of all trades
Tuesday 24 February 2009 1:00pm
Hugh Jackman was a breath of fresh air at the Academy Awards last night. For the first time in many years I was absolutely glued to the screen. Hugh sings, he dances, what can’t this man do?
The opening musical montage was light and comical. Add the lovely Anne Hathaway in there (who knew she could sing?) as a very unlikely Nixon and that’s entertainment at its best. The duet with Beyonce Knowles was the highlight of the show. It took us on a trip down memory lane to all of our beloved musicals gone by, and had this musical fan tapping her foot.
Some critics were less than thrilled, but let’s face it hosting the Oscars has got to be one of the toughest gigs in the world. With Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and so many other Hollywood greats within metres of the stage it would be enough to rattle the coolest cucumber. But over 70% of American fans are keen to have our Hugh back at the Kodak Theatre next year so fingers crossed.
I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience or in living rooms around the world when Heath Ledgers family accepted his posthumous Oscar. It is still so difficult to believe for many of us but for the Ledgers it was obviously a case of pride after the pain. Their words were so Aussie- simple and heartfelt as they dedicated his award to his young daughter Matilda.
Both of our Aussie boys are a credit to this fair country which produces some extraordinary talent.

Mum’s the word
Friday 20 February 2009 1:30pm

It felt like mother’s day had come early this morning as we were joined by three wonderful Mums. We had two lovely ladies from rural New South Wales enjoying our Morning Makeovers and one of televisions most famous, and infamous, mothers Estelle Harris. If this name doesn’t quite ring a bell I’ll give you a hint. On her hit show she had big red hair, a distinctive voice and a famous only son. Offcourse I’m referring to Estelle Costanza, George’s ‘Mom’ from Seinfeld.
And wasn’t she an absolute delight! Estelle kept us all wonderfully entertained this morning both on and off the set with her quick wit, quirky comments and wonderful larger than life persona. What with anecdotes about splitting her ashes into two urns, her repartee with her extremely patient husband and her honest motherly advice it truly felt like Estelle Costanza had stepped into the studio. And not only is she a fabulous actress but I think she could also have a career in PR. She was singing my praises this morning, even calling me better than Oprah! I certainly can’t compete with the great Miss O but I am definitely considering hiring Estelle as my publicist.
Country Women’s Association have worked tirelessly to support our farmers through the drought. So I was delighted to put two of its members, Carolyn Richards and Sandra Ireson, in the makeup chair this morning for some spoiling and pampering. Celebrity stylists Melissa Hoyer and Joh Bailey were on hand to give the ladies their new looks and they turned out fabulously. Carolyn and Sandra looked like different women, with new found confidence. They will certainly be the most glamorous gals on the farm now.
A big thankyou to all our guests today, particularly Estelle Harris, I wish I could have you on the show everyday!

Glamour Girls
Wednesday 18 February 2009 1:00pm

It was a day of transformations. Joining us this morning we had a lawyer turned designer, two former Popstars turned sensational stage acts, and some lip plumping thrown in.
How gorgeous were designer Tika Burrows lingerie collections? The European lace and vintage fabrics in our fashion parade left me wanting to slip into something a little slinky myself. And the stunning models left most females in the room mentally booking in some time at the gym! Tika has made a triumphant return from Paris, after showcasing her latest looks. This is certainly a far cry from her former slightly less glamorous job as a full time lawyer. But with no designer training, just an inherited love of beautiful sleepwear from her grandmother, she is creating quite the sensation. So where does she lie on the whole g-string, boy leg, brief dilemma? It seems Ms. Burrows is a boy leg fan, which she says are very flattering on the female form. Looks like I might have to invest in some myself.
We’ve seen so many trout pout shockers come out of Hollywood it’s truly amazing. But Dr. Joseph Hickek says the days of banana lips could be behind us with lip rejuvenation. This procedure involves dermal fillers which can treat the border of the upper and/or lower lip which enhances contour and definition. Former patient, Maryanne Sukkar, showcased the results today and I was extremely impressed. Another patient, Katrina Harte, is having the procedure done today to plump up her cupid’s bow, so stay tuned for the results.
I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since Popstars sensation Bardot first graced our living rooms and transformed its members into overnight successes. Offcourse one of those success stories, Sophie Monk, is off in Hollywood staring in movies alongside Adam Sandler and Alyson Hannigan. But two other former band members Tiffani Wood and Katie Underwood have reunited for the stage production of Rudolph Valentino. The girls were quite happy to reminisce about their ‘hectic’ former Bardot days and breathed a sigh of relief that with two girls instead of five there are far fewer cat fights. Along for the ride was co-star Normie Rowe. He and the girls performed one of the swinging hits from the show, Hollywood Hills. To check out Rudolph Valentino visit www.seevalentino.com.
Be sure not to miss tomorrows show as Peter Harvey will be in to talk about 30 years of 60 minutes.

Wealth for toil
Friday 13 February 2009 2:00pm
In times like these it’s seems impossible for the show to just go on. The last week has seen devastation and destruction unlike anything this country has ever witnessed. And yet the overwhelming outpouring of support I think really shows what Australians are all about.
I am simply overwhelmed by the generosity of my fellow Australians. The response to the worst natural disaster in our country’s history, the Victorian bushfires, has been extraordinary. Despite the current economic climate Australians have opened their hearts and donated an astounding $77 million to the Red Cross relief fund. Even victims of the floods at Ingham in North Queensland have generously added to the effort. Better known supporters of the cause, including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Mel Gibson and Rachel Griffiths, turned out for the Channel Nine Australia Unites telethon last night. Whilst two of our most famous expatriates, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, dug deep, donating half a million dollars to the cause. It’s now up to the very capable Red Cross to make sure that these much needed funds really help support those who need it most.
Black Friday seemed an appropriate end to a very bleak week. We trialled and tested some well known superstitions. Being rather superstitious I I declined partaking in the testing but the boys from No Junk Male Simon Westaway, Joh Bailey and Jono Coleman lent a hand (or a hammer). Smashing mirrors, walking under ladders, opening an umbrella indoors, I sure hope these superstitions aren’t true because I think we did over 50 years worth of damage this morning.
I want to wish everyone a wonderful Valentine’s Day. It seems we need our loved ones more than ever. To make a donation to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire appeal call 1800 811 700 or go to www.redcross.org.au.

We interrupt this program...
February 11 2009 12:00pm
In the wake of Australia’s worst ever natural disaster, the Victorian bushfires, Mornings with Kerri-Anne is on temporary hiatus. Coverage of the unfolding events remains top priority. We will be back as soon as possible. In the meantime make sure you tune in to the Today’s Show’s extended up to the minute reportage.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of those affected by this terrible tragedy.

Guys, Dolls and a couple of snakes
February 5 2009 2:00pm

There’s nothing quite like a venomous snake early in the morning, unless offcourse you have five slithering around the studio! The very thought was enough to drive The Today Show’s Karl Stefanovic bolting from the set. Yet despite the fear these creatures inspire Ben Britton from Wild Animal Encounters guaranteed us that Australia’s most venomous snakes are responsible for only two fatalities a year. I still wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of our friends from this morning. In fact I keep telling my husband John to stop hunting for his golf ball in the bush. And seeing how well that Death Adder can camouflage itself today I think I’m going to have to put my stiletto down. If you do encounter a snake in your backyard it’s important to stay still and calm, go inside where possible and wait for it to slither on by. Worse case scenario- you get bitten. It’s important to wrap up with wound, if possible apply a splint and seek immediate medical attention. I think I played an excellent snake bite victim this morning, check out the photos for more!
Marina Prior and Gary McDonald are a great team. As two of Australia’s brightest performers their production of Guys and Dolls will be entertaining Sydney audiences from March, but today they were keeping us entertained offstage. With Marina referring to Gary as grandpa and Gary sharing his practical joke secrets to provoke Marina’s ‘stage laughter’ their chemistry is obvious. Marina shared a few secrets of her own, confessing to busking in the 1980’s and going topless in last years Melbourne performance of Guys and Dolls (attended by yours truly). Be sure to book your tickets for the Sydney performances of Guys and Dolls next month.
And let’s not forget another musical sensation. Dressed in retro glamour, the stars from the up and coming Buddy Holly Show had the cast and crew tapping their feet this morning. It’s amazing how similar the star of the show, Scott Cameron, looks like the late Buddy Holly. Some great casting there so be sure to check it out when it opens at the Lyric theatre in May.
A big thankyou to all our guests, particularly John Wood for sharing his inspirational transformation from Microsoft powerhouse to a global education spokesperson. To make a donation to his wonderful charity Room to Read check out his website at http://www.roomtoread.org/.
Catch you tomorrow guys and dolls!

I’m wiped!
Tuesday 3 February 2009 2:30pm
Well it was a day of thrills and spills on our Wipeout obstacle course that certainly got this ladies heart racing. So fast in fact I barely passed Dr. Penny Adams’ blood pressure test shortly after!
Decked out in our finest overalls (my stiletto’s safely left with the crew) we ducked, bobbed and weaved on our way through our own version of the Wipeout obstacle course challenge. Hosts of Australian Wipeout, James Brayshaw and Kelly Landry, joined us to talk about the show that has over twenty million yanks hooked every week. And with obstacle course names like ‘Sucker Punch,’ ‘Big Balls’ and the ‘Sweeper’ it’s no wonder. Kelly assured us that bruised ego’s were the only injuries sustained on the show thus far and after being pelted in the head with one of the Wipeout balls (thankyou John O’Coleman) I think my own ego was a little worse for wear. Make sure you tune in 7:30pm tonight on Nine for the premier of Australian Wipeout.
Well my fingers were definitely worse for wear after feeding the baby Port Jackson sharks brought in by Sydney Aquarium’s Amy Wilkes. But despite my feeding frenzy it’s interesting to learn that you’re more likely to win the lottery than be attacked by a shark. Amy this morning assured us that this summer’s shark attacks are no more numerous than usual, debunking the current panic surrounding our most feared but arguably one of the most important creatures of the deep. In fact as ‘Sharkwater’ documentary creator Rob Stewart argues their importance is being felt more than ever, with finning increasing at an alarming rate. His fight to protect these misunderstood animals is inspiring.
A big thankyou to Toyota Star Maker winner Liam Brew for performing his song ‘She’s gone.’ Following in the footsteps of previous winners Keith Urban and Lee Kernighan he is certainly one to watch.
Got a little one off to pre-school or big school this week? On mornings tomorrow we talk about how to make this transition easier for your kids and yourselves (pay attention Jamie).

New Year, new show, new you
Monday 2 February 2009 2:00pm
A big belated happy New Year from all of us here on Mornings. The cast, crew and I were all treated to an extra long holiday although I hope you enjoyed our summer series , but we are back a little tanner, a little plumper (from the festive season) and excited for the start of another fabulous year for 2009.
We kicked off with a bang today; with Australian Idol’s biggest success story Shannon Noll popping in for a chat about his upcoming tour and life on the road with his young family. And with three children under 8, it must be hard keeping up with the Nolls’! But despite his hectic schedule the new face of Beauty Mate still finds the time to moisturise regularly. Though I must confess I was relieved to hear that this knock about Aussie male icon is still blissfully baffled by the idea of skin toner. A big thanks to Shannon for coming in today and performing his inspiring hit ‘Shine.’ This song was used twice on the Oprah Winfey show because of its positive message. More than ever we need songs like this to help get us through these troublesome times.
And our resident psychologist Ian Wallace kicked off the New Year with a new you. He discussed strategies to be more positive about life. Compartmentalising your life in regard to work, recreation, family and friends, can help keep things in perspective by preventing work from becoming your sole focus. Concentrating on positive short term goals at work instead of stressing about future long term outcomes can also help you keep your cool this year.
Well it’s certainly been anything but cool over the last couple of weeks. Things have been pretty steamy here in Sydney but it’s been positively awful in Victoria, as Dick Whittaker from the Weather Channel told us today. Continuous 40 degree days have become a regular feature in Melbourne, as new summer records are being set in South Australia. The last severe heatwaves were recorded in 1908 and 1939, and alarmingly these heatwaves are becoming more frequent. Sadly the scorching temperatures have taken their toll on many elderly Victorians. So make sure you’re all looking after yourselves, staying indoors where possible and keeping hydrated.
Some one who’s won Olympic Gold keeping hydrated is diving sensation Matthew Mitcham. Achieving his infamous perfect score at the Beijing Olympics Matthew had this Australian glued to the screen. It’s sad to know that a perfect score and great talent such as Matthew’s has not been snapped up by sponsors as it should have been. I think it’s very important for our Aussie sportsmen and women to be supported as much as possible.
Well I’ll be leaving the stiletto’s at home tomorrow, well at least for a few segments, tune in at 9am to see why.
It’s great to be back!

Thompson, toys and tucker
27 November 2008 12:00pm
The incomparable Jack Thompson joined us on the show today, fresh from several premiers of the epic Australia. Jack of course stars in the film alongside Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman who were all transported to ‘Baz Luhrman’ land during filming, where take after take was necessary to achieve perfection. And having seen the film twice I can testify that it was simply that. Jack today shared his wonderment and excitement at being a part of a true Australian classic. He was even kind enough to cover for me during an extremely uncomfortable fit of coughing, delving into a wonderful rendition of a beloved Australian bush poem.
While your tucking into your turkey dinner and Christmas stockings this holidays, give a thought to those for whom Christmas will not be such a festive occasion this year. With the worsening economic situation donations this Christmas are more important than ever, says Major Gary Masters from the Salvation Army. Major Masters encourages Australians to give to their Christmas appeal, by donating money and gifts to the Salvation Army who will be helping thousands over the holidays. Major Masters notes that teenage boys are particularly neglected in the drive for Christmas presents, and that any wallets, DVD’S, game boys and other gadgets would be greatly appreciated.
A big thank you to all of our guests today, especially Swedish band ‘Oh Laura’ for their wonderful performance today and our resident chef Lyndey Milan for that scrumptious turkey loaf.
Catch you tomorrow,

Festive fun
Wednesday 26 November 2008 12:30pm
The Sydney Girls Choir helped spread the Christmas cheer in the studio this
morning, with their beautiful rendition of ‘Jingle Bells Rock.’ There was
singing, dancing and coordinated movements which were so in sync it was
truly extraordinary. The girls recently enjoyed performing for Hugh
Jackman’s surprise 40th birthday, meeting Rove McManus, Baz Luhrmann and
Cate Blanchett. Talk about singing with the stars!
We all know how tricky it can be to buy presents for the teenager in your
house. Jamie popped in to help keep our kids Christmas stockings ‘with it’
these holidays. From inflatable pool toys and bicycles, to the latest iPod
and DVD’S, you could certainly find something for even the most difficult
teen this morning. The bicycle on the show reminded me so much of one I
had as a teenager. It’s wonderful when the toys of your childhood come
back into fashion again.
Perhaps instead of giving your hubby a gym membership (nudge, nudge) this
Christmas, a visit to Dr Anoop Rastogi for some lipo sculpture might be
just the trick. Dr. Rastogi joined us on the show to discuss the growing
phenomenon of liposuction for men. Smoothing away those love handles, beer
gut and even the dreaded man boobs, Dr. Rastogi’s work has become
increasingly popular for men in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. And looking at
the results from his clients it’s no wonder.
With the year wrapping up, you won’t want to miss a minute of Thursday and
Friday’s shows.
Catch you then,
Kerri-Anne

A day for the diva’s
Monday November 24 2008 12:00pm
Two of our finest and funkiest Australian pop sensations, Deni Hines and Christine Anu, had many a crew member bopping along today on mornings with a performance from their upcoming tour. I myself was having a bit of a boogie in the corner. What a killer combination they are! You can really see that they just love performing together, even having a bit of a gossip during the instrumental section of the performance. Deni dished the dirt on tour life with Christine, revealing her perfect ‘I have a child’ explanation to any arising problems. You can see the girls on their ‘Taking it to the streets tour’ throughout January and December, and I thoroughly recommend that you check it out.
Another delicious diva on the show this morning, Yvonne Kelly, gave us a taste of the pre performance rituals of a premier opera singer, literally. When preparing for a show Yvonne follows a strict eating schedule which starts with a protein loaded meal 3 hours prior to curtains open. And for this opera singer it certainly seems as though an apple a day keeps the mid show fatigue away. For an extra sugar boost, Yvonne eats pureed apples with a little milk just before taking to the stage. Many I’m sure remember her incredible performance at the Sydney Olympics, which she describes as the highlight of her career. Another highlight undoubtedly was her nude opera performance. Yet, she assures us that the nudity was far from full frontal, and that even her mother could watch the show without feeling too squeamish.
Jamie joined me with some fab Christmas ideas for the man in your life. That DVD player for the back of the car seat is a wonderful way to keep your kids entertained, and yourselves sane, during any holiday car trips. And Christmas came early for the female viewers of the show today as our gorgeous bronzed beach boys modelled the latest aussiebum underwear which promises to lift in all the right places.
Centerlink’s Hank Jongen gave us the low down on what we can expect from Kevin Rudd’s latest initiative to help out the needy. Jongen advises not to call Centrelink with questions or requests and that any payments will be processed according to their existing information. The centreline manager divulged the details of the initiative, including the cut off date, 14th October, for the bonus which will be received by families with new babies. For further information visit the centrelink website.
A big thankyou to all the guests on today’s show, especially our resident psychologist Ian Wallis, for his wonderful yearly wrap up.

Today on Mornings...
Thursday 20 November 2008 11:00am
We kicked off the show with the lovely boys from Human Nature. From cute boy band which had the nation’s girls swooning to a more mature and critically acclaimed acapella group, Human Nature sure are here to stay. Their spontaneous performance today gave us a taste of their wonderful new album ‘A symphony of hits.’ Singing with style certainly is second nature to these Human Nature boys.
Thredbo survivor Stuart Diver, Anna Rudd from the Salvation Army and farmer Mark Pickford joined us today to discuss male depression in rural Australia. In a time of drought and economic woes, it’s now more important than ever to address the toll this illness is taking on the health and well being of our farmers. Anna Rudd’s documentary, available on DVD, hopes to raise awareness of this growing problem. Mark Pickford knows firsthand the impact economic difficulties have had on farmers around Australia. Battling and beating depression, it was the support and love of his family which saw him through. Stuart Diver, who makes an appearance on the DVD, agreed expressing his gratitude to family and friends for helping him through his bout of depression following his traumatic experience and the death of his wife.
If your planning on spending the holiday’s away from home this year, don’t forget to look after your beloved pets. As the temperature starts to climb it is important to keep your pets hydrated and happy. Keep a look out for those ticks and check your pets thoroughly and regularly. And remember , despite the energy and laughs our cute furry Maltese terriors from the RSPCA brought to the show today, I would advise careful thought and consideration before purchasing one for a friend or family member this Christmas.

Kennerley, Kerri Anne Kennerley
Wednesday 19 November 11:30am
Roger Moore is such a charmer. After 30 years he’s still got a way with the ladies, and even I found myself fluttering my eyelids at this cheeky smooth talker. The third and longest running James Bond joined us on the show today, and is certainly still as debonair as ever. That with a witty and slightly naughty sense of humour and you have one killer combination. Here to promote his autobiography ‘My word is my Bond,’ he talked about his career highlights and on screen smooching. He even gave us some tips on how to kiss an over 35 year old, passion over pressure every time. Roger that.
I had extremely high expectations of Baz Luhrman’s epic ‘Australia’ and I can honestly say that I was far from disappointed. The storyline was what really brought it all together, not to mention the A-list cast, and absolutely beautiful scenery. My favourite part was the action packed stampeded scene, it was as good as any action packed sequence from that latest 007 Quantum of Solace. The goss from the current affairs panel this morning was that the appearance fee for Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman’s appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show was courtesy of the Australian tax payer. Rumour has it that the Australian government forked out the fee to promote Australian tourism in the US. Regardless of the extra promotion, the film is sure to draw international acclaim and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the odd extra tourist next year, despite all our current dollar dilemmas.
Coming up tomorrow on Mornings, the boys from Human Nature join us on the show. Make sure you don’t miss that one.
Catch you in the mornings sometime,

Thursday rolls around
Thursday 6 November 2008 12:51 pm
Weren’t the miniature horses on the show today absolutely beautiful? I am such an animal lover and I wanted to just pick one of them up and take them home with me. I am not too sure my dog Harvey would have appreciated that. But it’s important to remember if you do want to take home a gorgeous miniature pony that a lot of care and commitment is necessary, after all they do have a life expectancy of thirty years!
Surfer Mark Occhilupo was quite the charmer when he joined us of Mornings to share the story of his amazing life. From surfer, to wiped out, to his ‘Elvis phase’ of drugs and obesity, to rejoining the surfing circuit and finding the peace he wanted in his life Occy’s rollercoaster has been witnessed by the world. His book ‘Occy- the rise and fall of Mark Occhilupo’ is a must read as his story is a truly inspirational one.
And I’m excited about Michael Connelly’s new book. I love a good mystery and Michael is certainly one of the best. His new book ‘The Brass Verdict’ delves into the story of a defence attorney and a detective teaming up to solve the murder of a Hollywood lawyer. Look out for that one.
Thanks to all our guests on today’s show.
Catch you in the mornings sometime,

Just to clarify...
Thursdsay November 6 2008 11:50pm
I was not unwell yesterday because of excessive Melbourne Cup celebrations (thank you Jamie) but unfortunately came down with a stomach bug at around 6am. Luckily it cleared quickly so I could get back into action. Don't believe everything you hear.
Great to be up and running again,

Feathers, frocks and frivolity
Monday November 3 2008 2:30pm
Derby Day always delivers an absolutely wonderful time. We settled ourselves in the Emirates tent and mingled with old friends and new. Jenna Elfman is a laugh a minute, not to mention absolutely gorgeous. And you're always ensured a good time with my old friend Kate Ceberano. When we girls get together there's no stopping us, or the champagne. Another wonderful year.

The future looks bright
Monday November 3 2008 12:00pm
What little stars we had on our show today. The kids from Wyong Public School are to be congratulated for winning the Landcare competition. Their dedication to cleaning up the envronment is truly encouraging to see. It's hard to believe that the thirty kids we had on our stage today were their entire school! Atleast one on one student teacher time wouldn't prove too much of a problem. A big thank you to all the children (particularly the platypus), teachers and staff for driving all the way from the Central Coast at 6am this morning to join us and share their wonderful news.
Yannick Coffi, a nine year old muscial superatar, also wowed us with his talents this morning. Fully accomplished at the key board, drums and bass guitar you can almost literally see his star rising. Proud Dad Jervais told us how his musical talents surfaced very young, that is even younger than now, when he broke out into song in the car. He's already won over the Japanese public, competing in a singing competition that brought praise and chievement, and you can't help but feel that the skies the limit for this talented boy.
Our resident psychologist Ian Wallis had an extremely frank discussion this morning with a woman who lost over $1 million on the pokie machines. Fortunately she's been able to get her life back on track and provide inspiration for those facing similar problems.
Tomorrow on Mornings we'll ofcourse be celebrating the Melbourne Cup.
Catch you then,
Kerri-Anne

Olivia and John were a delight. It was so much fun hanging our with Captain Travolta in the cockpit during my trip to L.A. Pilot, actor, heartthrob - there is honestly nothing that man can't do. And Olivia has certainly still got it, radiant and gorgeous I'm convinced that she will never age.
Check out the happy snaps!

Home sweet home
Thursday October 30 2008 12:00pm
There’s nothing like a trip away to remind you how wonderful it is to be home. And we got right back into it this week on mornings. Today we had the woman who was the style queen of Sex and the City, the series and the movie Patricia Field. A New Yorker born and bred with wild purple hair, put fashion front and centre in one of the most successful television series and movies ever. My favourite outfit of the film was the white flower ‘opening credits’ dress. We had it on the show today in black and gold and it is simply divine. I might even borrow it myself for a night on the town. It’s a ready to war collection and she’s in Australia for the launch.
There’s really only one word to describe Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson Five fame and that simply is cool. He is polite, softly spoken and extremely mellow. For someone who was thrust into the limelight at an early age, it’s nice to Jermaine is at a truly content place in his life. He enjoys the role of family organiser and big brother to Michael and was the one who stood by his side during many trials and tribulations. He’s taken on the role as the family rock. He converted to Islam in 1989. Moving away from being a Jehovah’s Witness. When I asked him why he said that there had just been something missing and now his life is a far more peaceful one. The Jackson Five are set to reunite soon which I’m sure many will be hanging out for.
And didn’t our Hawaiian dishes on the show just look delicious. I can personally vouch for their tastiness. The seared tuna and sliced snapper cappacio were amazing. Make sure you look at the recipe section for all the details.
Until later, aloha!

Thanks to the JJ’s
Thursday October 23 2008 12:00 pm
It sounds like it was an eventful day on mornings. Jaynie and Jamie got up close and personal with some furry and scaley friends. Jamie’s facial expression in these pics I think says it all but from what I hear Jaynie was quite the pro. One stick insect even felt comfortable enough to relieve itself on her arm. Perhaps it’s a good luck sign Jaynie?
I’m meeting and greeting some wonderful people over here in L.A. including a personal favourite of mine, John Travolta. But you’ll have to tune in next week to see all my L.A. adventures.
A big thanks go out to Jamie and Jaynie for doing such a wonderful job this week.
Catch you in the morning sometime,

Greetings from L.A.
Monday October 20 2008 4:00pm
I was delighted to hear how well Jamie and Jaynie did this morning. The tap-dance routine sounded phenomenal, hats (or shoes rather) off to Jaynie for putting it all together with very little rehearsal.
It should be a good show tomorrow on mornings. Kenny Rogers will be joining Jaynie and Jamie to talk about success, the future and his extremely eventful life, including twins at age 65! I’m extremely sorry to be missing his visit as I am a big fan of his work for longer than I’d like to admit. He will also be performing live in the studio, so make sure you don’t miss it.
And the man responsible for the looks of some of the most famous faces in Hollywood, makeup artist Reggie Wells, will be popping by. Until recently I was unaware that presidential candidates needed a makeup artist but Barack Obama is one of his celebrity clients. It will be great to hear the gossip from an insider who I am sure has seen it all, zits included.
It’s lovely and warm in L.A. even in mid autumn.
Wishing you were here! But in the meantime check out these great snaps from Monday's show.

It’s a long way to the top
Thursday October 16 2008 1:00pm
Well after our morning coffees, we got a daily shot of gossip on the show. Diana Karmal Davies, former sister in the law of Heather Mills, stopped by for a chat about the infamous former wife of Sir Paul McCartney who’s caused such a global sensation (and not in a good way). And the revelations this morning were far from flattering. A possible history of prostitution, a string of unhappy relationships and driven by aspirations of fame, lets just hope Ms. Mills can pull it together for her 5 year old daughter Beatrice.
The American presidential race is on the tip of everyone’s tongue and former Opposition Leader Kim Beazley was more than happy to share some opinions. Barrack Obama’s connection with Generation X and Y will get him over the line, says Kim, and the economic crisis has doomed the republican administration. Speaking of republican regrets wasn’t Tina Fey’s Saturday Night Live impersonation of Sarah Palin wonderful. There’s nothing better than a political send up, unless offcourse you’re a politician.
And brothers Kenn and Simon Macrae have kept it in the family with their success in the amateur scriptwriting competition Project Greenlight. Winning $1 000 000 to bring their script ‘The view from Green haven’ to the big screen, filming wrapped earlier this year. The wonderful Wendy Hughes stars and from the little clip we saw this morning it looks fantastic. Hopefully we will see great things from the Macrae brothers.
Next week I leave you in the capable hands of the lovely Jaynie Seal and Jamie Malcolm as I jetset to L.A. to get the latest from tinsel town.
See you in the morning’s sometime,

Monday’s Moments
Tuesday October 14 2008 4:30pm
Greta Scaachi is an absolute delight. She is one of those actors with a rare combination of natural grace, elegance and strength. All this is mixed with a principled, no nonsense attitude to performance. Once known as ‘get em off Greta’ age and wisdom quelled her tolerance for filming nude scenes. Even standing up to director Robert Altman, her professional conviction has made her a stand out in the Hollywood crowd. Back in Australia for another undoubtedly brilliant performance, you can see Greta Scaachi in ‘Mary Stuart’ at the Ensemble theatre October 16-23.
We were then joined by a rather unusual guest on the show, the latest luxury vehicle for disabled drivers. Parliamentary Secretary for Disabilities and Children’s Services Bill Shorten also came along for the ride. Hs lack of a clear answer on how and when something could be done about tax on cars for the disabled was disappointing. Let’s hope that his trip to Canberra to push the benefits of disabled vehicles will prove profitable for people who need the break so much.
With the hats and accessories at this year’s racing season, the last thing people will be looking at is the horses. The fascinator is out and the bigger the better. Large felt hats and headbands with decorative flowers are a great trend and the maxi dress is emerging at the ‘it’ outfit. Thanks to our gorgeous models for the low down on this year’s low hemlines.
Catch you in the morning sometime,

Sex, dogs and rock and roll
Thursday October 9, 2008 9:00pm
It’s a dog eat dog world in the fashion industry, but today, we took it one step further. Four Chihuahua’s strut their stuff, or in some cases remained unmoveable, on the catwalk in tweed coats, ponchos and jewellery. But the best in show was definitely our crew member Ben who took to the stage himself after some gentle persuasion. Again we stress that neither the dogs nor Ben were harmed during this morning’s pooch parade.
And you’re always ensured a good time with author Kathy Lette, just as I had at last Friday night’s launch of her new book ‘Love, honour and betray.’ George Clooney, teenage daughters and her neighbour Barry Humphreys entering at the rear door, no topic is ever off limits. I take no responsibility for her naughtiness. And that suit, with the cover of her new book all over it, talk about being dressed for success!
More laughs were had in our trivial pursuit quiz. Andrew was finally victorious after an Idol worthy performance of ‘I come from a land down under.’ Lizzy and Geoff will have the chance to regain the crown next month.
A big thanks to all our guests, especially Stone Parade for performing their hit song ‘Somebody will miss you.’
See you in the morning sometime,
